Exploring the Milan Network of House Museums

Why Milan noble families are sharing their treasures with the public

It was October 2008 when the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum, the Boschi di Stefano Historic House Museum, the Necchi Campiglio Villa and the Poldi Pezzoli Museum decided to join into a new initiative: creating a network of Milanese historic house museums.

The network was launched to better promote the history of nearly two centuries of Milan's cultural and artistic patrimony. The four house museums are indeed the houses of noble families thet decided to share their treasures with the public.

While visiting these unique museums tourist are exposed to noble families personal stories and tastes and learn more about the evolution and the transformation of Milanese society.
