Banza, a new pasta made of chickpeas
More protein and fiber and less carb, here is the “new” pasta that just conquered the States
Is pasta healthy enough? Well, it all depends on how much you eat, but for those who are used to very big portions, there is a new kind of pasta coming from the States that can eventually fit this kind of habit without impacting on health.
This special pasta made from chickpeas instead of wheat is called Banza. It has double the protein and four times the fiber of traditional pasta, and it is has far fewer carbs and is also gluten-free. It is not sure whether it will ever conquer Italy, but for sure it is loved in the United States and many other American countries may start importing it soon.
