Over 100 hackers from the all-Italian group founded by Stefano Bernardi and Max Ciociola will develop dozens of unpublished mashups by mixing web and mobile technologies.

At the end of the hackathon the best ideas will be presented on stage at TechCrunch Italy in front of a panel of Venture Capitalists.

The winner will receive a grant of 25,000 ? to develop his projects within the accelerators H-Farm and Nana Bianca ( the latter founded by former founders of Dada Paolo Barberis, Alessandro Sordi and Jacopo Marello.)

"HackItaly cannot miss the 1st TechCrunch event in our country: this meeting represents a significant step forward in the enhancement of Italian technological expertise and an opportunity to meet Italian investors ready to support Made in Italy innovation. "said Max Ciociola, founder of musiXmatch and creator of Hackitaly.org

Co-organized with Populis, one of Europe's leading digital media groups, TechCrunch Italy will gather some of the most recognised leaders and innovators of the technology and media industries in Italy, Europe and the US.

The collaboration between Populis, TechCrunch and HackItaly.org, comes from an ambitious aim: to produce innovation in Italy through a radical change of mentality. A process generated through the creation of a virtuous ecosystem of digital entrepreneurs and supporting a competitive Italian community of developers.
