Exploring north-eastern Italy by boat

Enjoying a unique world suspended between the West and the East.

If you are looking for a charming and slightly unusual holiday, sailing in the extreme corner of north-eastern Italy could be a very good option for you. You will find long stretches of golden sand in the seaside resorts of Lignano and Grado, with whitecliffs dropping sheer into the sea towards Trieste. A charming Central-European city surrounded by the blue waters of the Adriatic. There are 23 marinas and various mooring points with 22 sailing clubs.

Those who are looking for good food will be spoilt for choice by the many restaurants with mooring facilities in Trieste, Grado, Lignano and along the Stella river. And in general, those who have been sailing in this region usually say that travelling through Friuli Venezia Giulia by boat gives the chance to access a unique world suspended between the West and the East.
