The EU-sponsored Worth Partnership Project is back

A new initiative to support the collaboration between SMEs and startups

The first call for the EU Worth Partnership Project is already open and candidates have time until December31st, 2017 to apply.

The aim of the Project is to support the collaboration between Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and startups made up of designers, artists, craftsmen and other creative people to give birth to outstanding innovations. The Project also aims to promote new production techniques, new models and business processes boosting companies' performances. The Project is financed by the European Union and implemented by a consortium of companies, including KEPA, IED, DAG Communication, AA Franzosi and led by the Textile Technology Institute AITEX.

Eligible applicants can be active in the fashion field and consumer goods (such as textile, shoes, home furniture, jewellery, and accessories). All applicants will have to prove their will to collaborate, create and innovate at the transnational level and each proposal will be assessed on its capacity to innovate, on its social and environmental impact, on its technical and industrial feasibility and on its market potential. The assessing committee is made up by outstanding experts of the following sectors: fashion, design and consumer goods.

The selected candidates will be assisted in finding the most suitable partners to develop their projects. Partnerships will last for at least 9 months, subject to time variations according to the difficulty of the projects. Furthermore, each participant will receive financial support; tailored coaching and mentoring by experts advising the participant on the most suited design, technology, productive processes, business strategy and legal support; and networking activity to facilitate the expansion on the market.

The EU Worth Partnership Project also includes a mentor for each participant who will coordinate the coaching activities. The achievements of each project will be presented in two international fairs in order to increase the visibility on the international market of the company.
