Londonart: exploring Italian creativity for interior design
The innovative brand combines graphic and architectural elements with functional materials, fabrics and aesthetic highly impacting the public
Londonart is a creative and craft design lab, which explores new artisanal and original solutions for interior design. Particularly skilled in wallpapers, Londonart has studied specific samples deriving from haute couture, absolutely original, to give birth to a new unique product, associating quality and design to comfort. In fact, the innovative brand combines graphic and architectural elements with functional materials, fabrics and aesthetic highly impacting the public.
The company is currently based in Milan and the majority of Londonart designers are Italian, all having a valuable sectorial expertise. The team is mixed - counting a significant number of women on board - and it is made up of many outstanding figures. For instance, Francesca Besso, designer and illustrator, whose artistic path started in her childhood within her family. Francesca's father was a painter and a graphic designer, while her mother was a decorator; they both communicated young Francesca the passion for design and the knowledge of several artistic techniques. Over the years, this passion became her job: she broadened her experience and published a number of works for well-known Italian publishing houses like Fabbri and Giunti.
Besides Francesca, the team is made up of a variety of other skilled people, working at Londonart as artist calligraphers (such as Luca Barcellona), architects (Carlo Del Bianco and Massimiliano Mornati), stylists (such as Laura Pozzi), an art director (Nicola Bottegal), and even a tattoo arist (Davide Finotti).
The new collection 2018 will be out in April at Milan Furniture Fair. In the meantime, Londonart is presenting a capsule collection in Paris, Cologne and Stockholm. The collection gives a preview of wallpapers characterized by volumes, contemporary decorations, geometries, and contaminations from the fashion world. Londonart wallpapers are able to transform a blank wall into an art project, capturing the observer and providing him with a unique product.
