In an interview with the Italian daily Corriere della Sera, Andrea Illy – Illycaffè President and CEO – shared some key hints to get a great coffee.

Firstly, the best coffee blends are those characterized by 100% Arabica and the roasting needs to be mild, not too dark.

When drinking it, the flavours coming up should recall chocolate, fruit and caramel.

To the Moka lovers, Mr. Illy suggests to store the coffee in the fridge and to take it out 5 minutes before using it.

Furthermore, he recommends not to press it while making it and to set a low fire. Shockingly, he also argues that to get the best coffee, the Moka should not rumble.
