Italian priorities for Europe

Growth and employment, a space for freedom and security, full exercise of citizenship rights and a stronger role of Europe in the world

We have already discussed about the "Fresh Start" Italy wants to impress upon Europe during its six months Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Although its main priorities have been identified in boosting growth and employment, implementing a space for freedom and security, promoting a full exercise of citizenship rights and consolidating a stronger role for Europe in the world, the "Fresh Start" paper distributed by Italy covers many different areas, from foreign affairs to economic and financial issues, from justice to home affairs as well as social policy, aagriculture, infrastructures, energy, environment, education, culture and sport.
