A three days marathon to discover the beauties and the excellences of Italy: from food to art, architecture and sport

This is Italy is back to New York with a new program rich of outstanding events. From June 28th to June 30th, Italian lovers living in the Big Apple will have the chance to experience an extraordinary full immersion in Italianhumour, lifestyle and excellence.

Here is the full program of the event:

THURSDAY, JUNE 28th

10:00 am - Intesa Sanpaolo Headquarters (One William Street)

THINK...OF ITALY: Italian Excellence Conference: manufactory, luxury, development and sustainability success stories

The conferen ce will be opened by Raffaele Leone (editor in chief of Panorama) and moderated by Nicola Porro (journalist)

Confirmed Panelists:Costantino Baldissara (Commercial, Logistics and Operations Director, Grimaldi Group), Biagio Calabrese (General Manager of New York Hub Intesa Sanpaolo), Antonio Cipollone (CEO Americas, Vhernier), Tommaso Dragotto (Founder and CEO, Sicily by Car).

1:00 pm - Urbani Truffles (10 West End Ave)

TASTE...OF ITALY Cooking Demo to celebrate products of Umbria region

The demonstration will be followed by a unique full immersion in local Italian cuisine

7:00 pm - Whitney Museum of American Art (99 Gansevoort Street) - Private event - Invitation required.

TASTE...OF ITALY Italian Excellence Awards Night

The cocktail will be followed by an exclusive guided tour of the Whitney Museum. During the Gala dinner, instead, the Italian Excellence Awards will be distributed, to mark the achievements and success reached by Italian excellences abroad.

FRIDAY, JUNE 29th

10:00 am - WeWork Bryant Park (54 W 40th Street)

THINK...OF ITALY Workshop: Discover Sicily

Panelists: Girolamo Turano (Councilor for Productive Development, Sicily region), Antonio Di Dio (General Manager, Distretto dei Mercati - La Vucciria), Alessio Pane (Executive Vice President/CFO, Distilleria F.lli Caffo). The workshop will be moderated by journalist Nicola Porro.

To follow: Tommaso Dragotto (Founder and CEO, Sicily by Car; Chairman, Tommaso Dragotto Foundation), presenting the short movie "Terra Madre".

6:00 pm - PUBLIC, 17th floor, AVA (215 Chrystie Street)

ART...OF ITALY A Conversation with Italian Film Director Gabriele Muccino

Moderation by Piera Detassis (editor in chief of Ciak)

7:30 pm – PUBLIC, Rooftop 215 Chrystie Street, New York

PARTY...OF ITALY Cocktail Party to celebrate Italian Style

Guest star of the party: Enrico Bonetti, the architect who realized PUBLIC and the DJ set of R101

SATURDAY, JUNE 30th

9:00 am - Pier 62 Carousel (W 22nd and W 23rd Street)

SPORT...OF ITALY FunRun, 5km marathon through Hudson Park River with DJ set of R101

The event is open to runners of all ages and ability levels, participation is free but it is necessary to register at the following link: thisisitaly-run.com

The first 100 people to register will get free tickets to the Guggenheim Museum at race shirt pick-up.
