Milan opens its doors to the Salone

The Franchising Event with many Opportunities for Young Entrepreneurs

Salone del FranchisingMilano is the well-known franchising fair that will take place in the Italian city from October 25th until the 27th. The fair has obtained a smart profile and became more and more youth-oriented. More specifically, the event seems conceived for all those young people who want to become entrepreneurs by opening up an affiliated shop with one of the biggest brands on the market.

At the Salone, young entrepreneurs will have the chance to compare the affiliation offers of more than 200 chain stores, visiting the stalls and getting information on the requirements to open a business. Visitors will also get the opportunity of attending free training courses – sponsored by the Franchising School - on how to open up a franchising. Furthermore, experts will be there to have one-to-one consultancy appointments (F For You) as well as successful franchisees who will share their stories.

Among the news of this 33th edition, the Salone will host an innovative Talent Show for all young people presenting innovative projects for new shops. In particular, recent data showed that young people between 25 and 35 years old are approaching the franchising world mostly consulting websites, unions or visiting the Salone. In 2017, there were 162.000 people interested, 8% more compared to the previous year. Interestingly, 53% is moved by the opportunity of becoming an entrepreneur, 49% by the desire of increasing their wealth, 25% by the potential of modern distribution and 6% by the hardship of finding a job.

Today 12.711 young people (between 25 and 35 years old) own a franchising shop, representing 24,6% of the total number of Italian franchisees. Even Antonio Fossati – President of Salone Franchising Milano – has recently commented on the Salone, encouraging all young people interested in the franchising world to come and see in person all the opportunities offered by the fair.
