Nice to meet you. Can I ask you to introduce yourself to Panorama’s readers?

Gun: Hi everyone, this is Gun!

Off: And I am Off, hello!

How did the collaboration between the two of you begin, and what inspired you to work together?

Gun: I started when GMMTV called me for a secondary role in a series called Puppy Honey, and they told me my counterpart in this adventure was Off.

Off: I was already working with GMMTV as a program host, but they suggested I try working in a series and offered me a minor role. I tried it and liked it; the team working with me also seemed happy and satisfied, so I continued until bigger roles started coming in.

Can you share some insights into the creative process behind your collaborative projects, including Cooking Crush?

Gun: The creative process of Cooking Crush is quite common. Learning how to cook, dealing with the tools you use in a kitchen, and studying how to actually cook got us involved from the beginning and was a key step in making the series. Sometimes, we made many mistakes, occasionally less, but that was definitely a fun and important part. Another crucial ingredient of this series is the friendship that binds all the actors in the cast.

Off: At first, I asked what kind of series it would be and was told that it was a comedy. Once I got into the creative process of Cooking Crush, I saw that the ingredient to the success of this series is that there is so much energy from everyone involved, and the work we do is done while having fun. The chemistry that has been created on set has been critical to the success of this series.

About Cooking Crush, did you find any similarities between yourself and the characters you played?

Gun: Prem and I have some similarities because I also like to cook. My real-life cooking skills are not as pronounced as in the series. Another similar trait is that my younger sister is also in the series, and that is something that ties my real life and my life on the set.

Off: From the beginning, I have made an analogy that in this series, I fulfilled a wish I had as a child. When I was a child, I wanted to be a doctor, and the role I was given in this series is precisely that of a doctor. This gave me a lot of energy because I could fulfill even just one of my childhood dreams on screen, which made my role even more spontaneous.

I’m also curious about your past roles: which one is the most memorable for you?

Gun and Off: Puppy Honey is definitely an unforgettable series for us.

What challenges have you faced as artists working together, and how have you overcome them?

Gun: This line of work is an enjoyable job. The big challenge comes when you insert yourself into a character with nothing similar to you. In this case, you have to learn to delimit yourself and understand that the moment you are in front of the camera, you have to overcome your limitations and not think about yourself or things like “If I do this, I’m going to ridicule myself,” because it’s all about portraying a role. The main idea is to be someone who can lock their character in a box to become someone else for a moment.

Off: No one has been born ready and good. The important thing is to keep trying and, above all, to keep struggling to accomplish what we are initially afraid of. If we are always ruled by the fear of making a mistake or getting a role wrong, we will never be able to accomplish anything. In life and this work, I have learned that it is important never to give up and to be someone who wants to go beyond their limits.

In what ways has your partnership evolved since you first started working together?

Gun: Gradually, as the days went by, we got to know each other better, and that helped us a lot. The fact that we understand each other, that we know what our characters are like, allows us to work together, respecting each other without ever getting to the point of arguing but supporting each other.

Off: It has been eight years now that Gun and I have been working together. At first, there were misunderstandings, but it was because we didn’t know each other and had never worked together. But being together has improved us; we have learned to understand and respect each other and, above all, to accept each other. This also allowed me to improve myself because when you are in contact for so long with a person, by necessity, there are sides of your character that will enhance to meet the other person. Despite all these years of working together, we have never fought, which is really important.

Could you share some memorable moments or anecdotes from your journey as artists working together?

Gun: Sometimes, when we work together, a little out of excitement, I forget parts. But Off is very good at staying focused on the work and always helps me overcome these awkward moments.

Off: The synergy between Gun and me is perfect. In the beginning, we were not very sure of ourselves. Who was good as a singer maybe wasn’t good as an actor and vice versa, so there was always some fear when I was in front of the camera. The beautiful thing about our relationship is that we help each other; we gave each other from the very beginning. This allowed us as a couple to overcome challenges, especially when one of us recognized that we were not as good as we wanted to be instead.

If each of you had to describe the other with one word, which would it be?

Gun: Off is very accurate.

Off: Gun is very nice. Cute. Extroverted.

Can you tell us about any upcoming projects or collaborations that fans can look forward to?

Gun: We will continue this series, and then we are already working on a new one, but we are ready to embark on new projects that GMMTV will propose.

Can we hope to see you in Italy soon?

Gun: Absolutely yes! We hope that this wish can come true soon.

Off: I would be highly pleased, and since other GMMTV artists are coming to Italy to meet the fans… why not? I would like to visit Rome, but also Milan, and please don’t forget us in Bangkok and help us make our dream come true.
