Exploring the secrets of Missoni fashion house
An exhibition of Missoni's masterpieces
The creative process of Italian fashion house Missoni and the textiles of Ottavio and Rosita Missoni are on display at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London, which is housed in a converted warehouse redesigned by the Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta. The exhibition, which will remain open to the public until September 4th, showcases over 60 years of fashion alongside paintings by leading 20th century European artists, and personal artwork by Ottavio Missoni, the founder of the label who died in 2013 at the age of 92. Although he was famous for his colorful wool jackets and sweaters, Ottavio Missoni was also a master in painting imaginative tapestries.
