How Veneto promotes its artisan creations

Traditional sartorial manufacture using innovative fabrics and hand-made leather garments on show at Origin, passion and beliefs

Arpel Artigiana Pelli and New Eventi from Vicenza, T EMME2 from Venice and Confezioni Sartena from Treviso are some of the companies that will represent the Veneto region at Origin, Passion and Beliefs, a unique exhibition focusing on artisan creation that will be on stage from July 11th to 13that Milan's Exhibition Centre in Rho, in partnership with Milano Unica.

Arpel Artigiana Pelli and New Eventi are both located in the province of Vicenza. Companies with decades of history that have made quality manufacturing in the fashion industry their core business. The former will be exhibiting hand-made leather and sheepskin garments, designs and paper patterns that show the entire production chain of an exclusively hand-made clothing product. The latter will be presenting finished, top quality tailored models for men and women made by Italian artisans in a variety of fabrics.

T EMME 2, however, is located in the Brenta Riviera area. They are equipped with the very latest cutting-edge software for creating patterns and developing cutting technology for footwear and clothing, all in digital format. Simulated cuttings can be carried out with automation to check material consumption, even on technical materials such as carbon fibre. At the Show, the company will be presenting cutting processes on logged design fabrics and valuable skins, such as python and crocodile, for footwear, clothing and furnishings.

Confezioni Sartena will be displaying outerwear and formal clothing, morning suits, dinner jackets and tailcoats, all rigorously made with Italian raw materials. For Origin, Passion and Beliefs, the company will be exhibiting the front part of a hand-made jacket with animal hair interlining. This process guarantees softness and perfect adaptability to the body of the person wearing it, a great innovation compared to using artificial thermo-adhesive materials which give the product structure but also stiffness.
