A new Bull of Nimrud to be recreated in Rome

The exhibition "Rising From the Ashes: Ebla, Nimrud, Palmyra" is planning to feature the replicas of three ancient works from Iraq and Syria reconstructed in Italy using 3D printers and robots. All works will be exhibited in Rome's Colosseum, with the aims of both offering people who will never have the chance to see these works to admire their replicas, and to spread public awareness about the preservation of cultural heritage.

The Bull of Nimrud, the Temple of Bel at Palmyra and a room of the State Archives of Ebla have been rebuilt to their original dimensions, proving how technology can be used to revive cultural sites that have been severely or completely destroyed because of war or other environmental catastrophes.
