BGUK_3337393 – Los Angeles, CA First look at Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi in raunchy trailer for Emerald Fennells Wuthering Heights remake. The first trailer for director Emerald Fennells adaptation of Emily Brontës classic period tale of love and longing, Wuthering Heights and features the red-hot pairing of Robbie and Elordi – and it does not look to waste its opportunities for onscreen romantic combustion. The trailer opens with a typical establishing shot of an estate on the West Yorkshire moors, then a beautiful close up of Robbie and then, suddenly, a very sensual tight shot of two female hands kneading bread. From there interspersed between more staid images is a bare, sweaty back; a shirtless Elordi handling hay in a stable; more kneading of bread; fingers running through egg yokes; Robbies character putting her fingers in the mouth of Elordi; a bodice being tightened; a bodice being cut away; more fingers in mouths; a woman having horse tack placed on her face; more shirtless Elordi; the duo face-to-face about to kiss; and, of course, a finger in the mouth of a fish. Fennell serves as writer, director and producer of the classic Gothic romance, based on Emily Brontës 1847 novel, which explores love, revenge and social class. The film stars Robbie as Cathy, Elordi as Heathcliff, Hong Chau as Nelly Dean, Alison Oliver as Isabella Linton and Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton. Adolescence breakout star Owen Cooper and Charlotte Mellington are also featured in the cast. Cooper is set to portray a teenage Heathcliff, the novels antihero whose all-consuming rage affects those around him. Mellington will play a young Catherine, whose passionate and complex relationship with Heathcliff ends in tragedy. Also set to make an appearance is Vy Nguyen as a younger Nelly Dean, who serves as the main narrator in the original novel. The new adaptation of Wuthering Heights marks the feature film debuts for Cooper, Mellington and Nguyen. The original novel by Brontë is considered by many to be one of the great pieces of literature when it was published in 1847. The original story follows two families, the Earnshaws and the Lintons, and the turbulent relationship they have with the Earnshaws foster son, Heathcliff. The film will hit cinemas on February 13, 2026.
