Where to Plan an Affordable Holiday in Southern Italy

Trivago.it, the world's largest hotel search website, just released its Best Value City Index for 2015, reviewing 100 places where holidays can be beautiful and affordable.

Although the top ten was dominated by (Near and Far) Eastern countries such as Mostar (Bosnia & Herzegovina), Novi Sad (Serbia), Lijiang and Pingyao (China), Plovdid (Bulgaria), Szeged (Hungary), Amritsar (India), Ouarzazate (Morocco), Kaliningrad (Russia), with the sole exception of Arequipa, in Peru, Italy was also well represented in this ranking.

The first Italian city was Lecce, known as the Baroque masterpiece of southern Italy, which gained the 36th position, followed by Pompei (37th), famous for its stunning archaeological site, and Alberobello (49th) and its beautiful white "Trulli".
