Earlier this year, a couple of unknown jewels in the Lago Maggiore area were reopened to boost tourism in the region. Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Rocca di Angera have indeed become accessible on a daily basis since March, and tourist will be able to continue travelling to these little islands up to the 22nd of October, 2017.

Tourists travelling to Italy will be able to experience the breath-taking panoramic view of the Amphitheater in the middle of the Isola Bella, or admire the medieval botanical gardens in Rocca d'Angera. Palazzo Borromeo is also a must-see in Isola Bella, where the luminous "San Rocco", a painting on wood made by the sixteenth-century master Sperindio Cagnoli, is located.
