A few tips to link Italian flag and food

According to Italy Magazine, "the red, green and white bands of the Italian flag, IlTricolore (the tricolour), could not reflect the culinary passion of the whole country any better!". Indeed, among the most frequently used ingredients in Italian cuisine there are for sure basil, tomato and mozzarella, which can be pretty useful in showing food patriotism.

Among "tricolour recipes", the most tasteful (and Italian) are Pizza Margherita; Caprese salad (or tower, according to the way in which it is served); penne all'Arrabbiata (with parmesan of course!); Salt Cod; and Panna Cotta with mint leaves and strawberries.
