A few reasons why Salvatore Ferragamo needs to raise prices in Europe

The Salvatore Ferragamo Ceo Michele Norsa recently announced that the Italian fashion company will soon raise prices in Europe. He added that this change is needed to "level out the price differences of products between Europe and Asia, as well as for places like Dubai and in India where imports are heavily taxed".

According to Mr. Norsa, the current price gap is actually discouraging consumptions in several markets, while a more stable price should push shoppers to buy whatever they like wherever they want. It is difficult to forecast how much buying Ferragamo will cost in Europe after this move, as the only thing that Mr. Norsa has said so far is that the new mark-up won't exceed 15/20 per cent, which is already a lot.
