US ready to welcome Caravaggio’s masterpieces

From February the 8th to April the 6th three celebrated masterpieces by the great Italian painter Caravaggio (1571-1610) will be hosted by the Muscarelle Museum of Art in Williamsburg, United States.

They are the two versions of "St. Francis in Meditation" - one coming from the Church of the Cappuccini in Rome and the other from the City of Carpineto Romano, and the famous "Buona Ventura" from the Capitoline Painting Gallery in Rome.

As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Ambassador to Washington, Claudio Bisogniero, is very proud of being able to welcome Caravaggio at the Muscarelle Museum, and he is confident that this "voyage in search of Italian treasures continues into 2014".
