Il mitico Robert De Niro ha presentato ieri al MAXXI di Roma, in anteprima europea, il documentario "Remembering the Artist Robert De Niro, Sr." un cortometraggio (di Perri Peltz e Geeta Gandbhi) dedicato al padre, pittore degli anni Cinquanta trascurato dalla critica dopo un exploit iniziale.
Commosso, lo straordinario attore due volte premio Oscar (per "Toro scatenato" e "Il Padrino") ha ricordato con immenso affetto il padre, grande artista dimenticato, omosessuale mai dichiarato e costantemente vittima della depressione. Un rapporto di amore profondo, quello fra i due De Niro, ma allo stesso tempo molto difficile. Questo documenatrio vuole esere un omaggio al genitore e alla sua arte "... È qualcosa che sento, che devo a mio padre e a mia madre", ha dichiarato il grande De Niro, Robert.
