I guai con il fisco di Messi: ecco perché è stato condannato

L'estate da incubo di Leo Messi non finisce e si arricchisce di un nuovo capitolo. Dopo la finale di Copa America persa contro il Cile anche a causa di un rigore calciato alle stelle dalla Pulce, che ha poi annunciato di voler lasciare la nazionale argentina, Messi è stato condannato insieme al padre Jorge Horacio a 21 mesi di prigione perché considerato responsabile di frode fiscale.
Un processo che ha diviso l'opinione pubblica catalana e nel quale Leo si era difeso dalle accuse sostenendo di non essersi mai occupato in prima persona della gestione del suo patrimonio. Le irregolarità che gli venivano contestate si riferivano al periodo dal 2007 al 2009 e secondo i giudici sono state provate senza ombra di dubbio.

Condanna a 21 mesi di reclusione e multa salata
Sia Messi che il padre sono stati condannati a 21 mesi di reclusione: una mazzata per l'immagine del campione, anche se non dovrà trascorrere nemmeno un minuto in carcere essendo al di sotto della soglia dei due anni. L'Audiencia di Barcellona ha chiuso la vicenda processuale con una maxi multa da 2,1 milioni di euro per il giocatore e 1,6 milioni per il padre. L'accusa era di frode fiscale nei tre anni presi in esame (2007, 2008 e 2009) per complessivi 4,1 milioni di euro.
Nel corso del processo la stessa accusa aveva distinto le due posizioni, chiedendo l'assoluzione per il calciatore - il cui intervento sarebbe stato puramente formale e non diretto e operativo - e una condanna a 18 mesi per il padre. I giudici sono andati oltre e ora Messi e apdre rischiano perchè in caso di nuovi problemi e nuova condanna, andando oltre la soglia dei 2 anni, dovrebbero scontare in carcere anche questi 21 mesi.
