Fatamorgana: the best ice cream in Rome

According to Food & Wine, a U.S. monthly magazine published by Time, the best gelato in Rome is found in the shops of Fatamorgana.

The first one was opened in 2003 by Maria Agnese Spagnuolo who works on a personal production method based on the use of natural and gluten-free ingredients. Ms Spagnuolo spent her childhood in a farmhouse, in close contact with nature, and draws inspiration for her ice-creams from that experience, choosing only the most genuine suppliers. According to the magazine reviewers, Fatamorgana's shops "are go-tos for chocolate, from milk to dark, with unexpected infusions like wasabi, tobacco and rosemary".
