Woojin «Still Dream» and landed in Milan with his first world tour
One thing is for sure: Kim Woojin never stopped to follow his dream. After diving for a while in deep water, he resurfaced, showing his artistry and talent on a new level.
Woojin’s story is well-known. Former member of JYP’s Stray Kids, he left the group in 2019. After debuting with the boys, he parted ways with the group “due to personal circumstances”. What follows is a story that won’t find space in this article. Not this time. Not anymore.
“Please stop, even if I shout out that it hurts/You smile and hurt me again”. Ready Now is one of the songs that marks Woojin’s comeback into the K-pop industry. For those who are conscious of his past, the lyrics of this song resonate like he wanted to sing out loud, with all his talent and hidden feelings. Showcasing it in Milan as part of his Still Dream tour and looking at Woojin’s expression while performing it is an enchanting experience that left all the CUBS that attended his comeback on the stage speechless. The show was a whirlwind of emotions, as expected from Woojin. With an album as ‘The moment: 未成年, a minor’ that features some of the most incredible K-pop artists such as Alysa Ichinose and Val Del Prete, we are curious about Woojin’s next steps.
Despite his packed schedule, Woojin took some time off to answer Panorama’s questions.
We all know you well, but can you introduce yourself to the Italian public?
Hello Italians!! I am singer Kim Woojin.
Welcome to Milan on your first world tour. How are you feeling?
From the moment I decided on the tour, I was really excited. Meeting the Cubs in real life gave me the strength to show a better side of myself.
Let’s talk more about artist Woojin. You released a new song and are still touring. What expectations should CUBSs have?
Please look forward to Kim WoojinJin’s various activities. Singing, dancing, and acting. I’m going to try more in this the future.
“Still Dream” is the title track of your album and the title of the tour. What do these two words mean to you?
I decided on this because I thought that I will run wherever the Cubs are, and the overall lyrics for the first tour very well.
And what is your dream?
My ultimate dream is to have a positive influence on my fans, CUBs, and the people who listen to my songs.
The album “The moment: 未成年, a minor” has six tracks. Besides the title song, can you tell us which song you like the most and why?
I like my growing pains. This is because the lyrics have incorporated the inferiority and anxiety that anyone who has experienced growth can relate to. And the melody line is also my style, so it’s my favorite song.
If you could express yourself in one word, what would it be?
Willpower. Because I’m working hard for my goal with CUBs.
