Italian art on show in Shanghai

Dario Fo at the theatre and Antonioni at the cinema

The Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre is hosting the Chinese version of Dario Fo's piece "An open couple, almost open wide" until the 5th of June 2016.

The Italian artist wrote this piece in 1983 and it deals with some of the hottest themes concerning the marriage, such as conjugal sexuality. Dario Fo is one of the greatest representatives of Italy abroad, being awarded with the Nobel Price for Literature in 1997.

Together with Fo, another Italian, Michelangelo Antonioni, will be on the Chinese artistic scene. In fact, the Italian film director will be present with a retrospective of his major works at the Shanghai Film Museum, until May 29th 2016.
