"Queen On Air" raccoglie tutte le sessions per la BBC

L’ultimo tour dei Queen, band che oggi è rappresentata dalla magica chitarra di Brian May e dalla batteria metronomica di Roger Taylor, ha fatto registrare ovunque il tutto esaurito, a conferma dell’intatto amore di milioni di fan per la musica della Regina, priva dal 1991 dell’ugola d’oro di Freddie Mercury .
Il successo di ogni uscita postuma, come le eccellenti Live at Rainbow e A night at the Odeon - Hammersmith 1975, non fa che suffragare quanto affermato in precedenza.
Il 4 novembre uscirà nei negozi Queen On Air. The Complete BBC Radio Sessions in tre formati: 2 CD con libretto illustrato da 16 pagine, 3 LP con vinile da 180g e Collector's Edition da 6 CD con tutte le interviste per la BBC e un libretto illustrato di 36 pagine.
Fra il febbraio del 1973 e l'ottobre del 1977 la band ha registrato sei sessioni esclusive per la BBC, che documentano l’ascesa dei Queen nel corso degli anni Settanta. Le 24 registrazioni di queste sessioni includono versioni alternative del singolo di debutto, riproposizioni dei classici dai primi album e anche la versione veloce di uno dei loro inni più famosi, We Will Rock You, che non è mai rientrato in nessuna pubblicazione in studio.
Per la prima volta tutte le sei BBC session, restaurate dal tecnico del suono dei Queen Kris Fredriksson e masterizzate da Adam Ayan, vincitore del Grammy Award, sono state raccolte per Queen On Air da Virgin EMI. La pubblicazione, oltre che una collezione di registrazioni rare, è una preziosa istantanea della crescita esponenziale di una band leggendaria.
