Tuscan itineraries for sport lovers

How to enjoy Italy riding a bike or a horse

Tuscany is famous for its enchanting destinations to enjoy with a superb combination of food and wine. However, those who are not interested in a so-called gourmet holiday can still travel to Italy to enjoy its breathtaking panoramas...walking or riding a bike.

Around Siena in particular lots of itineraries are available for explorers and sports lovers. Countless roads, tracks and trails wind through its countryside, linking the inland with the coast as well as northern Italy with Rome. Although in the past only pilgrims were used to travel along the Via Francigena and Via Lauretana for religious and trading purposes, today this area is famous for "slow travels", that is area where it is possible to enjoy the beauty that nature has to offer riding a bike, a horse, or simply walking.
