The Italian Prime Minister bets on Expo 2015

"The Expo won’t finish in 2015; everything which happens there on site will have a future"

The Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta has reminded that Expo 2015 success is a priority for the current government.

During his stay in Milan to confirm the nomination of Mr. Giuseppe Sala as the sole Commissioner for Expo Milan 2015, Letta highlighted that this event is "one of the cardinal points, an essential point of reference for the life of this government.  We want it to be a message of cohesion - we are a team, the Italy team."

While asked about the government determination on keeping the exhibition clean of mafia, Letta stressed that its "commitment to stop illicit and illegal activities will be total."

Generally speaking, it really seems the government is investing a lot of this Universal Exposition, defining it as "turning point for Italian recovery", and reminding that it should not be seen as a six-month event: "The Expo won't finish in 2015; everything which happens there on site will have a future".
