The Christmas market of Sant'Agata Feltria
Exploring Italian traditions in a medieval village near Rimini
Sant'Agata Feltria may be difficult to place on the map for many, but it is well-known among truffle lovers, as this little town near Rimini is home to one of the best White Truffle fairs in Italy.
Another tradition is likely to increase its popularity: a picturesque Christmas market. Starting from November 30th, the streets of the medieval village will be filled whit the sounds of bagpipes and handcrafted cribs will be put on display along the oldest street. On the market square, visitors will find Father Christmas house, where his elves organize lots of events for children.
Around this magical house there will be two reindeer pulling a sleigh driven by a real Laplander. The restaurants will serve food from a menu called "Advent Dishes", prepared following local Christmas traditions and customs.
