Russia and Italy revitalizing their holiday connections

The First Russian-language site on tourism in Italy has just been launched in Moscow

A few days ago the first Russian-language website dedicated to tourism in Italy was presented at the Italian Embassy in Moscow, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

The site - Italiagodturisma.com, is one of the initiatives created to promote the Italy-Russia Year of Tourism, launched by President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Enrico Letta in Trieste in November 2013.

Russia has been identified as one of the most promising touristic market for 2014. Indeed, beyond promoting this new web site collecting several informations on events and tourism attractions in Italy among local tour operators, nearly 200 ad hoc events have been scheduled to raise the interest for Italian culture, nature, food and wine in Russia.

Last but not least, the new website also provides practical tips on how, when and where to travel to Italy, as well as on how to get a visa.
