A short trip to Viterbo Park of Monster

A wonderful park with enigmas hidden everywhere

If you have never heard about the Bomarzo Park of Monster (near Viterbo), it is time to organise a trip to Italy to visit it. Built by Vinicio Orsini in memory of his deceased wife in the sixteenth century, the park was meant to host "impossible" constructions, monsters, and mythological beasts decorated by astound inscriptions to confuse visitors, rather than to guide them. Enigmas are hidden everywhere, and although many scholars have attempted to decipher them, the majority of them remains a mistery.

The park has been an inspiration to artists of different sensitivities - and to Salvador Dalí is probably the one who love it the most.
