Italian hospitality festival Host 2013 is ready to open in Milan

New products, new ideas, new services, and new business on stage in Italy

From the 18th to the 22nd of October, 1,600 exhibitors, 1,500 high-profile buyers and an audience of more than 120,000 professionals will gather at Host 2013, the biannual International Exhibition of Hospitality taking place in Milan.

46 different nations will be present at Host 2013 editions, where emerging countries will be much more represented than they used to be in the past, thanks to a growing number of companies coming from Bahrain, Brazil, Kenya, Israel, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Venezuela and Vietnam.

Fiera MilanoExhibitions Division Manager Marco Serioli describes Host as "a must-attend business platform for premium Made in Italy products that target global markets, as well as for international players for whom Italian Style is a point of reference, the capital of which is Milan".

Host 2013 headline events include HOSThinking, Smart Label and Design Award, three prestigious awards that are going to prize, respectively, new formats; the most groundbreaking proposals in terms of functionality, technology, environmental sustainability and the ethical and social impact of products and companies attending Host 2013; and the most innovative new customer experience enhancement formats.

Beyond that, Host 2013 remains the perfect window to show Italian skills in terms of hopitality. With a turnover of Euro 2.5 billion, with more than 60 per cent of it linked to exports, Italian small and medium companies remain among the most competitive in the world in this market, where they are now promoting innovation and green technologies.

Host's 4 milestones are new products, new ideas, new services, new business, and besides being the leading market place for the sector, this year exhibition also stands as the unrivalled trend setter for the entire Ho.re.ca world. Italy's main competitor in this sector is Germany, while the markets in which the country is growing faster are India, South Africa, and the Emirates, although some analysts say that it should focus on South America as its growth potential in the market is huge.

For those who won't be able to attend such a prestigiuos gathering, it is worth reminding that the event will also be available to view via livestream at https://new.livestream.com/wbc2013 .
