How to enjoy lunch, cocktail & dinner in an Italian Museum

The habit of renting out spaces for private events has become more and more frequent for Italian Museums and Historic Buildings

It might sound as a weird habit, but the one of renting out spaces for private events has become more and more frequent for Italian Museums and Historic Buildings, mainly to collect "alternative funds" to cope with huge cuts in government fundings.

Although it is not always easy to find out where this "services" are offered and where they are not, and how much they cost, in June Ponte Vecchio, the beautiful location in the hearth of Florence, was rented for a private dinner for 120.000 euro. More recently, a group of selected people enjoyed a beautiful dinner inside Florence's Gallery of the Academy, enjoying the company of Michelangelo's David for 2.600 euro only, which was a discounted price of course.
