Discovering the Agrigento's Valley with a new panoramic railway line

Among its stops, the Temple of Vulcan, the Garden of Kolymbethra, and the Valley of Castor, Pollux and Concordia

For those who have planned to travel through Sicily during the forthcoming summer, it may be useful to know that the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento can again be visited by train.

Since the beginning of June, a vintage train reconnected Agrigento to Porto Empedocle, offering a spectacular journey full of breath-taking views across the Archeological Park of the Agrigento's Valley of the Temples, one of Italy's most famous Unesco World Heritage Site. Among its stops, the most beautiful are the Temple of Vulcan, the Garden of Kolymbethra, and the Valley of Castor, Pollux and Concordia.

The Agrigento-Porto Empedocle line was originally built in 1874, and part of the journey also offers stunning sea glimpses.
