Christmas and New Year Eve: where to go in Italy

Rome, Florence, Turin and Venice in the top three

If you haven't decided yet where to spend Christmas holidays or the New Year Eve, Italy is definitely a good option for last-minute trips.

According to Trivago Observatory, the research centre associated to Trivago.it, the world's largest hotel search website, the best options for Christmas would be Rome, Florence, Turin and Venice, followed by Bolzano, Naples, Milan and Verona. To celebrate the New Year Eve, Italian tourist have opted for more crowded, lively and animated destinations such as Bologna, Rimini and Siena, although the "four classics", that is Florence, Rome, Venice and Verona, are very well positioned in the New Year's ranking, too.
