World experts gather in Italy to discuss how to enhance food quality and safety

A two-day meeting in Lodi to identify new strategies to combat food fraud

It is a matter of fact that providing assurance to consumers and other stakeholders about the safety and quality of European food is of prime importance in adding value to the European Agri-food economy. Unfortunately, the authenticity of European food and the integrity of supply chains is under constant threat from fraudulent activities.

In order to help facing this challenge, a two-day event on September 9 and 10 organized in collaboration with the FoodIntegrity European Project and PTP - Science Park will offer the chance to share best practice and boost exchange and cooperation opportunities among European scientists.

FoodIntegrity is a large-scale integrating project supported by the European Commission under Framework Programme 7 to provide an international focal point for harmonisation and exploitation of research and technology for insuring the integrity of European food. Lodi's PTP - Science Park, instead, is a leading Italian Science and Technology Park in the Agrifood, Bioeconomy and Life Sciences sectors.
