UAE and Italy Ready to Boost Economic Cooperation

Rome is Dubai’s Second Largest Trading Partner in Europe

United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Italianrepresentatives recently met in Dubai and agreed to expand bilateral ties in the field of economic, industrial and investment cooperation.

With 92 Italian companies already operating in the UAE, Italy is the second largest trading partner of the UAE in Europe and there is considerable potential to develop bilateral trade and business ties between the two countries. Non-oil trade revenues reached the $6 billion target in 2013, and during the past few years, Italian companies were awarded contracts worth a total value of $12 billion for oil & gas and infrastructure projects in the UAE.
