Italy on top of the Superyacht Global Orderbook 2016

Azimut Benetti, San Lorenzo and Ferretti make the top three

The 2016 Global Order Book is a publication focusing on the state of the yachting industry. After two years of stable numbers following the 2013 low point, the sector is growing again, with 755 superyachts 24 meters and longer reported on order or under construction.

The new data also confirm the extraordinary performance of the Italian Azimut Benetti Group, which retains its first-place ranking. But Italy is doing well even beyond the Azimut performance. The country is currently in charge of building 37,2 per cent of the total amount of yachts which have been ordered this year, thanks to two other major builders, San Lorenzo and Ferretti Group.
