Italy, good news for employment

A bunch of positive results confirming that reforms are working

Italian unemployment rate is decreasing. According to recently released statistics, at the end of 2015 unemployment scaled down to 11,3 per cent, the lowest rate during the last three years. Beyond that, it is important to stress that the number of temporary workers is rapidly decreasing while the one of long-term employees is increasing.

Another important change is that the number of people who have stopped looking for a job, as they believe they won't find one, is lower now, and the same can be said for the rate of youth unemployment: it is now at 38.1 per cent while it used to be over 44. Only Italian graduates are still suffering: only 52.9 per cent can find a job during the three years after graduation.
