Barack Obama Chololate Cake is selling well in Italy

A small bakery in Salento is making a fortune over its "Obama" delicacy

Italian baker Angelo Bisconti has made a fortune selling his "Obama cakes". He got this brilliant idea five years ago, and since then his business never stopped growing.

Everything started when Mr. Bisconti started looking for his own way to honour America's first black president, at a time in which he could not even expect to see his "Pasticceria Chèri" producing 5,000 Obama cakes a day, or to export most of them, mainly to the United States.

Some people say that although the caricature is somewhat questionable, the move is a great example of cunning marketing. To take advantage of his smat idea, Mr. Bisconti also launched a website featuring a smiling President Obama, holding a pasticciotto.
