It’s About Us

Rephrasing “Environment conservation” or “Protecting Environment” needs to be done with top priority. Everybody is under the impression we are trying to protect the environment. In reality we are only trying to protect mankind from self-inflicted curses that range from Air to Water pollution. What was given to us as a well made heaven has been converted into a messed up hell. Human greed has no limits, infinity looks smaller infront of human greed.

This very human greed has made us so self centered that we cannot think beyond our own self. The impact our action on other life forms or on environment at large is never even a thought. In most cases we are being educated only to earn and not to learn. Every natural calamity with it brings lessons, the first and the foremost of it being that it ain’t a natural disaster but a man made recipe for self destruction.

When environment conservation is raised as an issue there are a million defendants from the other end of the spectrum who talk about development. Practically or Philosophically there is absolutely no evidence to prove that we are developing. The rich is getting richer and the poor is only getting poorer. There are healthcare issue, quality of education is at its poorest benchmarks and the happiness index just doesn’t go up because people always want more. Then what are we talking about progression or development. From a Black President to an Anti Corruption Crusader turned politician everybody at the end of the day is puppets in the hands of money lenders who are none other than environmental offenders.

Big talks and Lengthy speeches may find place in history, but what needs to be answered is if we will have an earth left to discuss History. Environmental conservation is not to protect the environment it is to ensure that we the human race can survive.
