At EFI (Environmentalist Foundation of India) we are involved in real time result oriented environmental conservation work. One of our projects is the Fence It Lake Restoration effort.

We adopt lakes and ponds and get them restored for biodiversification, there are several challenges that come our way before we could successfully complete a restoration project. These challenged tune and season the individual involved in the work to become a genuine conservationist.

Not many understand the importance of environment conservation and are unable to believe that conservation could be done with no hidden commercial agenda. In one such a backdrop for people to believe in the cause and support the efforts in protecting the environment, as an environmentalist we need to be Genuine with integrity so that people believe in us first to then understand our concern for the environment.

What the world has seen to date is corruption and scandals that have rocked the environment and degraded it to great limits. It is important now that we win back the trust of people and prove to them that we need to live in harmony with nature. We are not trying to protect the environment, nature knows to take care of herself, we are only trying to make sure that our future generations could also walk healthy on the face of this planet just as our ancestors did.

To be an environmentalist it is therefore very important to be disciplined and build a credibility that is undoubted.
